* Listed prices are starting points for standard brands and may vary by model and failure. The written estimate provided by the technician after diagnosis is the total price for the repair. Premium brands (Sub-Zero, Wolf, Viking, Thermador, Miele, Dacor) usually need more expensive parts. Labor is priced by appliance, not by brand.

Typical total cost (parts + labor)

Typical ranges for common repairs on standard brands, with parts and labor included. Premium brands run higher. The written estimate after the diagnosis is the price you pay.

ApplianceTypical totalWhat moves it
Refrigerator$250–$500Evaporator fans, defrost parts, start relays and inlet valves sit at the lower end; control boards and ice maker assemblies at the higher end. Sealed-system work is rarely worth it on an older unit.
Washing machine$250–$450Drain pumps, door locks, lid switches, belts and inlet valves. Tub bearings and transmissions can exceed $500 and often lead to a replace conversation.
Dryer$230–$380Thermal fuses, heating elements, thermostats, belts and rollers are inexpensive parts.
Dishwasher$250–$430Drain pumps, latches, inlet valves and gaskets. Circulation pumps and control boards run higher.
Range and cooktop$230–$450Elements, sensors and switches. Control boards are the expensive exception.
Wall oven$330–$550Higher because of the extra disassembly.
Garbage disposalRepairs from $180A new unit installed typically runs $250–$450, depending on the model.

What drives the price

Why two identical symptoms can cost different amounts

  • The part that failed

A dryer thermal fuse costs a fraction of a refrigerator control board. We quote the exact part for your model number, not a generic range.

  • Brand and availability

Premium brands such as Sub-Zero, Wolf, Thermador, Viking and Miele use proprietary parts that cost more and sometimes must be special-ordered.

  • Access and disassembly

Built-in and integrated appliances take longer to reach. That is why built-in wall ovens, double ovens and oven-microwave combos carry a higher diagnostic and labor rate.

  • Whether a second visit is needed

Repair on the first visit when the part is in stock. If a part must be ordered, there is no extra trip charge to come back and install it.

Always included

FAQ

Pricing questions

Why do you charge a diagnostic fee?

The diagnostic covers a trained technician driving to your home, testing the appliance with proper instruments and identifying the actual failed part. It is credited in full toward the repair, so if you fix the appliance it costs you nothing extra.

Are your prices per hour or flat rate?

Flat rate. You get one written price for the complete repair, parts and labor included, before any work starts. If the job takes longer than expected, that is on us.

Do you charge extra for a second visit if a part has to be ordered?

No. If we need to order a part, we return to install it at no additional trip charge. You pay the quoted price only.

What if the repair is not worth it?

We will tell you. If the estimate is more than about half the cost of a comparable new appliance, or the unit is near the end of its life, the technician will say so and you only pay the diagnostic fee.

When can I get an appointment, and does the day change the price?

Technician appointments run Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM, and the phones are answered 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, so you can book any time. The rates are the same every day of the week.

Want an exact price?

Call and describe the symptom, or book online. The technician's written estimate is the number you pay, and the $80 diagnostic disappears when you approve it.
