What we collect

When you call, text, email or use the booking form on this site, we collect the information needed to schedule and perform service: your name, phone number, email address, service address, the appliance involved and a description of the problem. When you pay, payment details are processed by our payment provider and are not stored on this website.

Like most websites, our hosting provider records standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested and timestamps) for security and troubleshooting. If a form submission cannot be delivered to us, a copy of it is kept in these logs as a fallback so the request is not lost; hosting logs are deleted on the provider's rolling schedule.

How we use it

  • To schedule, confirm, perform and follow up on appliance service.
  • To send appointment reminders, on-the-way notifications, estimates, invoices and receipts.
  • To honor our warranty and keep a service history for your appliances.
  • To respond to your questions and requests.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

Phone calls and our AI receptionist

Calls to (470) 778-4087 are answered by an AI receptionist that runs on Callbook, our phone and job-management system. Callbook is owned by the same person who owns Atlanta Appliance Techs. Calls are recorded and transcribed, and each call opens with a notice that it may be recorded. The receptionist uses what you tell it (your name, phone number, service address, the appliance and the problem) to book and confirm your appointment, and the appliance details are added to the job for the technician.

Call recordings and transcripts can be opened only by our office, not by technicians, and are deleted after 90 days. A short call summary and the job notes stay with your service history for warranty purposes. To speak with a person instead, ask for one at any point in the call, or email hello@atlantaappliancetechs.com. How a call works.

Text messages (SMS)

By providing your mobile number and checking the consent box on our booking form, or by texting us, you agree to receive appointment-related text messages from Atlanta Appliance Techs, such as confirmations, reminders, on-the-way alerts, estimates and invoices. Message frequency varies by job. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out and HELP for help. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any service. Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Technician applications

If you apply to work with us as an independent technician through the form on our technician jobs page, we collect what you enter: your name, phone number, email address, home ZIP code, experience, certifications, the appliances and counties you work in, insurance and business details (including whether you have a business EIN, but never the number itself), availability, an optional resume or LinkedIn link, how you heard about us and anything else you choose to tell us. The form does not ask for your Social Security number, date of birth or driver's license number.

We use this information only to evaluate your application and to contact you about it, including by text message if you check the text-message box on the form (reply STOP at any time to opt out). If you move forward, we verify your insurance and certifications. If we ever run a background check, it is done by a screening company only after you sign that company's own disclosure and authorization form. We do not sell application information or share it for marketing.

Applications are stored in our application-tracking spreadsheet and email inbox. We keep application records for up to two years and then delete them. To have your application deleted sooner, email hello@atlantaappliancetechs.com.

Contractor setup and agreements

Technicians who move forward use our contractor setup page to send business details (legal and business name, business type, mailing address, whether they have an EIN and a business bank account, but never the numbers), job-offer preferences, and documents such as insurance certificates, EPA 608 cards and licenses. When a technician signs the contractor agreement online, we email a one-time code to confirm their email address, and record the details entered, the drawn and typed signature, the time, the IP address, the browser and the version of the agreement signed.

These go straight to our email inbox, with a copy of the signed agreement to the technician; they are not stored on this website. When we countersign, we add the technician’s name, email and phone to our job-management system (Callbook), which emails them an invite to their technician portal. We use them to set up and document our contractor relationship, verify insurance and qualifications, send job offers and meet tax and legal record-keeping rules, and keep them for as long as we work together and afterward for as long as those rules require. Technicians we work with also upload their signed IRS Form W-9 and give the Zelle or bank account details for their weekly pay on that page. These are sent directly to our business email over an encrypted connection, are never stored on this website, and are used only to pay you and to file the tax forms the law requires.

Service providers

We use trusted vendors to run the business: a phone and messaging platform, an AI speech provider that processes call audio for the receptionist, an email provider, a payment processor, a website host, a spreadsheet service that stores service requests and technician applications submitted through this site, and our job-management system (Callbook). Each receives only the information it needs to perform its function and is contractually required to protect it.

Cookies and analytics

This website does not use advertising cookies. We may use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used in aggregate: which pages are visited, how fast they load, and whether a visitor tapped a phone number, sent a service request or sent a technician application. Google Analytics uses first-party cookies to tell visits apart. We do not send it your name, phone number, email address or the contents of any form, and we do not use it for advertising.

Google processes this data under its own policies; see how Google uses information from sites that use its services. You can block these cookies in your browser settings or use Google's Analytics opt-out add-on.
