Atlanta Appliance Techs answers the phones and takes bookings for appliance repair across Metro Atlanta. We work with independent technicians who already know how to fix appliances and would rather spend the day repairing than marketing, answering calls and chasing payments.

When a job comes in near you, you see the details up front and decide whether to take it. You do the repair; we handle the booking, the customer communication and the payment.

Pay: You receive 45% of the labor charged on every job you complete, including the diagnostic fee on diagnostic-only visits, paid weekly. Parts are not part of the split. At our published prices that is $81.00 on a $180 repair and $36.00 on an $80 diagnostic-only visit; larger repairs pay more. We are a new company and job volume is still building, so early weeks will be lighter. We will not promise a number of jobs.

What you get

We run the office. You run the repair.

Everything that happens before and after the repair is on us, so your time goes into the work you are good at.

  • Booked jobs, not cold leads

Jobs come from our phones and website across Fulton, DeKalb, Cobb, Gwinnett, Cherokee, Forsyth, Paulding, and Hall counties. The customer, appliance and problem are confirmed before the job is offered to you. Volume varies with the season and the area.

  • Customers who know the price

Customers see our published pricing before they book, so the price conversation has already happened when you arrive.

  • 45% of the labor, paid weekly

We collect payment from the customer, and you receive 45% of the labor on every job you complete, paid weekly. No invoices to chase.

  • Your schedule, your call

Set your own schedule. You choose the jobs you take, and turning down a job offer is always your decision.

  • The counties you choose

Work in the counties you choose: any of Fulton, DeKalb, Cobb, Gwinnett, Cherokee, Forsyth, Paulding, and Hall. Stay close to home or cover more ground.

  • Parts on our accounts

Order the parts a job needs on our supplier accounts, in our name. Where we pay the supplier directly, you never front the cost; otherwise we reimburse the receipt in that week’s pay.

How it works

From application to your first job

  1. 01

    Apply

Send the application at the bottom of this page. It takes about five minutes and asks about your experience, certifications and the areas you want to work in.

  2. 02

    Set up online

After a short call and a paid ride-along on a real job, you finish setup online: send your insurance certificates and any EPA 608 card, sign the contractor agreement, and set up payouts.

  3. 03

    Accept the jobs you want

Job offers in the counties and appliance types you chose come to your phone. Accept the ones that fit your day and pass on the rest.

  4. 04

    Do the repair

You diagnose and complete the repair using your own tools and methods. We handle booking, customer communication and collecting payment.

Requirements

What every partner technician needs

We verify these before your first job, so every customer can trust whoever arrives at the door.

  • Real, hands-on residential appliance repair experience
  • Your own reliable vehicle and tools
  • General liability insurance ($1M per occurrence, $2M aggregate, including products-completed operations) in your name, or the willingness to get it before your first job
  • Auto insurance that covers business use of the vehicle you drive to jobs
  • Your own local business license (occupation tax certificate) from the city where your business is located, or the county if it is in an unincorporated area
  • EPA Section 608 certification (Type I or Universal), only if you take refrigerator, freezer or window-AC jobs; not needed for washers, dryers, dishwashers, ovens or ranges
  • A smartphone for job details, customer notes and photos
  • Clean, professional conduct in customers' homes

Licensed trades stay with licensed contractors. Gas piping and gas line work, new electrical circuits and plumbing work are always referred to licensed contractors, never done on an appliance repair job. Repairing the gas appliance itself (igniters, valves, burners) is appliance work and in scope.

FAQ

Questions technicians ask

Is this a job or contract work?

Contract work. Partner technicians work with Atlanta Appliance Techs as independent contractors, not employees: you run your own business, choose the jobs you take, handle your own taxes and expenses, and receive a 1099.

How does pay work?

You receive 45% of the labor charged on every job you complete, including the diagnostic fee on diagnostic-only visits, paid weekly. Parts are not part of the split. At our published prices that is $81.00 on a $180 repair and $36.00 on an $80 diagnostic-only visit; larger repairs pay more. We are a new company and job volume is still building, so early weeks will be lighter. We will not promise a number of jobs.

Can I work for other companies too?

Yes. You are an independent business, so you can keep your own customers and work with other companies. Taking jobs from us does not change that.

Do I pick my jobs?

Yes. You choose the counties and appliance types you want offers for, and you accept or decline each job offer. There is no set schedule to keep.

What appliances do the jobs cover?

Refrigerators, Washers, Dryers, Dishwashers, Ovens & cooktops, Ranges & stoves, Garbage disposals, Microwaves, Ice makers, Installations. Tell us which ones you work on and we match job offers to that, including gas ranges, ovens, cooktops and dryers if you repair them. Licensed-trade work (gas piping and gas line work, new electrical circuits, plumbing) is always referred to licensed contractors.

Do I need my own insurance?

Yes. Before your first job you need general liability insurance ($1M per occurrence, $2M aggregate, including products-completed operations) and auto insurance that covers business use, in your own name. If you do not carry them yet, you can still apply and get them before you start.
