Where to find the model number on an LG appliance
LG’s guide puts it inside most refrigerators on the right side of the liner, on a silver label on the front panel behind the door of front-load washers and dryers, on the back, under the lid or on the left side panel of top-load washers, and on the right side of the door edge of dishwashers. Ranges vary: the left side of the door or drawer, behind the oven headboard, or in the bottom drawer frame.
LG warranty basics
LG backs its refrigerator inverter compressor motor and its washers’ direct drive motor with 10-year limited warranties. If a refrigerator stops cooling because the compressor failed, or a washer motor fails, check LG’s coverage before paying for the part.

The 2025 LG electric range recall
On February 6, 2025, the CPSC announced LG’s recall of about 500,000 slide-in and freestanding electric ranges with front-mounted knobs, sold from 2015 through January 2025. The knobs can be turned on by accidental contact. The remedy is a free warning label from LG reminding owners to use the Lock Out or Control Lock function.

What do LG washer codes OE, UE, LE and dE mean?
Per LG’s code list: OE means the washer cannot drain, UE is an unbalanced load, LE means the motor cannot turn the tub (often overloading or something stuck), and dE means the door is not closed or not locked. Read the full guide
