Where to find the model number on a Samsung appliance
Samsung’s guide puts the label inside the refrigerator on the left (with a second label outside at the bottom left), around the door frame or seal on front-load washers and dryers, on the back of top-load washers, on the left or right side of the front frame on ranges (on some models, the storage drawer), and on the top or side of the door rim or the inside edge of the tub on dishwashers. Have it ready when you book.

The 2024 Samsung range knob recall
On August 8, 2024, the CPSC announced Samsung’s recall of about 1.12 million slide-in electric ranges with front-mounted knobs, sold from May 2013 through August 2024. The knobs can be turned on by accidental contact from people or pets. The fix is free: Samsung sends knob locks or covers for your model, and you request them with the range’s serial number on Samsung’s knob-kit page. This is not a repair, and you do not need us for it.

Samsung warranty basics
Samsung appliances carry a one-year manufacturer warranty. Samsung adds 10 years of parts and 5 years of labor on digital inverter compressors in refrigerators, and a 10-year warranty on the digital inverter motor of washers bought on or after April 1, 2026. If one of those parts has failed, check with Samsung before paying for a repair.

Samsung repair questions
What do Samsung washer codes 4C, 5C and UR mean?
Per Samsung’s code list, 4C means the washer is not filling, 5C means it is not draining, and UR is an unbalanced load. dC means an unbalanced load on some models and a door error on others, so check your manual. Read the full guide
My Samsung refrigerator shows OF OF. Is it broken?
No. Samsung says OF OF means the refrigerator is in Cooling Off mode (also called demo or shop mode), and service is not required. Our guide shows how to turn it off. Read the full guide
